Rideout Bay Developments is a real estate development company focused on the Northwestern Ontario markets of Kenora, Sioux Lookout, Fort Frances and elsewhere. We are developing Studio 6 Extended Stay Suite Hotels in association with RealStar, the franchisor of Motel 6 and Studio 6. 


We specialize in hotel development in Northwestern Ontario regions which are ripe for additional hotel investment. We are pursuing both owner operators and hotel investment via  syndication.

Rideout Bay takes a committed approach to extending the Studio 6 brand to underserved Northwestern Ontario markets. Once we have identified the market opportunity we acquire development land in a choice location in the community.


Then we work with the local municipality to secure services and obtain the required zoning and subdivision amendments. We then put the franchise package together and identify potential financing sources. week. 


A Studio 6 features rooms that are 50% larger than the average hotel room; most hotel rooms are 180-200 square feet and our suites are 310-330 square feet. Studio 6 is ideal for stay of a day, a week, a month or even longer. The suites feature a full sized fridge, cooktop, microwave and a seating area. There is a main floor common room with vending, but the properties are easy to manage as there is no bar, restaurant, banquet rooms or pool.
